Robbie Benson, born in Athlone, Ireland is an association footballer who plays for UCD. He plays in the position of Midfield. He can also play as a forward when needed. He has made underage appearances for Ireland.

Benson started his career at Athlone Town and made his first senior appearance for Athlone Town when he came on as a substitute away to Waterford United in September 2008. He went on to make 22 appearances for the club, scoring 5 goals.
At the prospect of a college education, he joined Premier Division side University College Dublin in the summer of 2010. However, he will not be able to play for the Students until the results of his Leaving Certificate are known.[1]
Benson was called into the Ireland Schools team for the 2010 Centenary Shield.[2] Benson netted the only goal of the game as Ireland Schools' beat England 1-0 in Burton to secure the 2010 Centenary Shield title. He was also ever present in the squad including during Ireland Schools' 5 - 2 victory over Scotland.[3] He was called into the Ireland u-18 Squad to play a double header against Macedonia, however had to pull out before the two games.[4]
